Obituary of Melanie Joy Kesterson

With great sadness, the family of Melanie Joy Kesterson, wife of Michael Kesterson of Fredericton, NB announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 10, 1973 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Holly John and Louise (Keef) Moore.  Melanie worked as a Brokerage Rater for UPS Canada. She loved her family dearly and stayed actively involved in programs supporting autism. She enjoyed collecting cherished teddy figurines.

In addition to her loving husband, Melanie is survived by her son, John Thomas “JT”, at home; siblings, Daniel Moore (Wilma Morgan) of Fredericton, Trina Campbell (Darlene Pike) of Ontario, Crystal MacKay of Fredericton, David Green (Dianna) of Ontario; mother-in-law, Louise Rutledge of Arizona; several nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Eric Moore; father-in-law, Thomas Rutledge.

A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 2 pm with Pastor Joseph Page officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Autism Connections Fredericton.
