Obituary of June Adele Brewer

The passing of June Adele (Hawkins) Brewer, wife of the late Francis (Mike) Brewer, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Fredericton Hospice. Born on September 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Hazel (Nicholson) Hawkins. Mom started work at the Metropolitan store in Fredericton. She and Dad married and she was then a stay-at-home mom to three girls. She sold Avon and later worked at Pugh's General Store in Burtts Corner. She then kept house and raised two children for the Smith family in Fredericton. Mom also managed the canteen at the Upper Keswick Recreational Centre and was a Ranger leader. She was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Burtts Corner.

Mom is survived by her daughters, Linda Taylor (Robin), Ann Brewer and Patricia Brewer (Brian Agnew); grandchildren, Shannon Gammell (Ray LaFrance), Jeremy and Ryan Cahoon; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlin Gammell; sister-in-law, Barb Hawkins; several nieces and nephews, and special friends Pat Estey and Bonnie Brewer. Besides her parents and husband, Mom was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Moore and Edith Gallagher and her brother, Jim Hawkins.

The Funeral Service will take place at Cornerstone Bible Church , Burtts Corner , NB on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2 pm with Pastor Steve Matthews officiating.  Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery .  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Cornerstone Bible Church , Fredericton Hospice or a charity of your choice.
