Obituary of Alberta May McCoy

Alberta May McCoy of Fredericton, NB, started her journey to be with her mother and her sister on Firday, December 16, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on June 30, 1958 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Louise and Waldo Somerville. 

Alberta was a wonderful mother and worked at the St. Mary’s Supermarket.  

Alberta is survived by daughters, Terra McCoy, Kari (Anthony) Burns and Paige Martin (James Burns); grandchildren, Brandi, Abel, Braxton, Millie, Maizie, Laston, Zayden, Silver, Jayde and Meadow; great grandchildren, Avah, Xavier, Duncan and Sophia; siblings, Nancy (Paul) Breen, Ann (Randy) McCoy, James (Susan) Somerville, Jerry (Angie) Somerville, John (Ruby) Somerville, Frederick (Michelle) Somerville, Rick (Kathy) Sooley, Bill Casey, Lynn Titanich; many wonderful nieces and nephews.  Besides her mother Alberta was predeceased by her late partner, Edward Martin and her sister, Carol Estey Mclaughlin.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  The funeral will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 2 pm with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan officiating.
