Obituary of Thomas Walter Carson

The passing of Thomas “Tom” Walter Carson of Boiestown, NB, husband of the late Alice (Merrill) Carson occurred on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on February 10, 1926 in Holtville, NB, he was the son of the late James and Ella-Mae (Munn) Carson.  Tom was a school bus driver, an active member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church and loved his grandchildren and his horses.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Mabel Bruce (Ricky) of Taxis River, Ellamae Calhoun (Ronnie) of Bloomfield Ridge and Wendy Johnston (Brian) of Killarney; son, Malcolm Carson (Anne) of Boiestown; grandchildren, Laurie Johnston, Marie Calhoun, Alison Carson and Julie Carson; great granddaughter, Lily Boone; chosen daughter, Gloria Bubar; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was predeceased by his sisters, Jessie Munn, Christina Conroy and Annie MacLellan; brothers, Arch, William and Chub Carson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Visitation will take place at Ridgeway Baptist Church, 3133 Route 625, Parker’s Ridge on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12-2 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating.  Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery at a later date.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Ridgeway Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
