It is with heavy hearts the family of Bonita (Bonnie) Alberta Pond wish to announce her passing on November 3, 2022. She was 78 years of age.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, John Pond (Kim), Darren “Digger” Pond (Heather); daughter, Stephanie Snow (Dave); step daughters Jean Malloy (Don), Carol, Patricia Doucette (John Hayes), Sheila Robertson (William), granddaughters, Jessica (Sam), Alexandra (Karsen), Rachael (Travis), Sarah, Jenna (Cheyane), Shannon (Jeremy), grandsons, Gerald, Travis, Brian, William (Chantelle), Jason (Rose), Joshua, Jason (Marsha), Dan (Beth), Cory (Ashley), Brandon, Joel (Kristen), great granddaughters, Chloe, Clover, Maiah, Odessa, Ella, great grandsons, Xander, Aiden, Brody, Zayne and Desmond; sisters, Lois (Clyde), Carol (Tony).
Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Robert Allison Pond, her sons Christopher Trent Pond and Robert Anthony Pond Jr as well as her parents, Glendon and Flora Young; her brothers, Wayne, Carl, infant brother Leon; and sister, Kathleen.
Bonnie was a good mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked very hard her whole life; in her younger years in the woods alongside Dad. She worked many years at the Cotton Mill in Marysville. She was a legendary baker and was well known for her wedding cakes and event cakes. She catered the Durham Golf Course and loved cooking and baking for all those who visited.
The family wishes to thank all the caregivers who cared for our mother. It meant so much to all of us.
A combined visitation will be held for Bonnie and her son, Robert at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive,
