Obituary of Robert Ivan Haines

The passing of Robert “Bob” Haines of Fredericton, NB, husband of Sharon (Robertson) Haines, occurred on November 3, 2022 at Hospice Fredericton, with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer.  Born on January 23, 1946 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Ivan and Mary (Ferguson) Haines. Bob was a retired member of Fredericton City Police Force. He enjoyed spending time at the camp in Allandale, hunting and fishing.

Besides his wife Sharon, he is survived by his daughters, Cathy Haines (Trevor Hanley) and Misty Myers (Troy Clarkson); son Todd Myers (Becky Myers) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Lauren and Ryan Hanley both of Fredericton, NB. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Chris Haines.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Sunnybank Cemetery at a later date. Special thank you to Dr. Gordon MacDonald, the palliative care team and the staff at Hospice Fredericton for the exceptional care they provided to Bob during his time there.
