Obituary of Jeannette Marie Finnamore

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeannette Marie Finnamore of Fredericton, NB, wife of Stewart Finnamore on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Hospice House Fredericton.  Born on August 26, 1945 in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Eleanor (Arsenault) Meunier. Before retirement, Jeannette worked in food service for local schools with Chartwells. She enjoyed volunteering with the Greenwood Drive Baptist Clothing Bank, liked to bowl, gardening and especially loved to take care and visit everyone who needed her.

In addition to her husband of 46 years, Jeannette is survived by her children, Kenneth Green (Carrie) of Dartmouth, Jennifer McGinn of Fredericton, Denise McFadzen (David) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Jessica and Emily Green, Nathan Finnamore, Kyle McGinn, Evan and Elsie McFadzen; sisters, Theresa Pitre of Minto, Jeannine Odo of Fredericton, Helena Barr (Gary) of Fredericton; mother-in-law, Marian Gallant of Fredericton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Kevin McGinn; sisters, Irene McElwain, Rena Chase; brothers, Roger and Peter Meunier.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  A Funeral will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 603 Union Street, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11 am with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan officiating.  Interment will be in Marysville Baptist Extension Cemetery, Fredericton. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton (Palliative Care Resource Network Inc.) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
