Obituary of Reid Dale Watson

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Reid Dale Watson of Island View, NB on September 26, 2022. Reid was born on February 27, 1948 in Tilley, NB to his late parents Elwood and Laura Watson. Reid later married the love of his life, Sharon Goodine and they shared their lives together for over 52 years. He loved his family with all his heart and will be missed dearly by his daughter, Krista Morency (Daniel) and son, Jody (Megan). His grandchildren, Allie and Jake Morency, Claire and Ryan Watson, were his pride and joy and were spoiled every chance he had.

Reid was happiest when surrounded with family and leaves behind his sisters Marlene Beveridge, Colleen Godin, Gwen Watson, Tracey Blois (Dave); brothers, Peter, Aubrey, Eugene (Lisa), Randy (Gail) Watson; brother in law, Fred Gallant; special aunt, Florence Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Sharon Gallant and brother Bob Watson.

He spent over 38 years at Atlantic CAT and was a Caterpiller enthusiast. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent any chance he could hunting, fishing and spending time at the camp. He also enjoyed many nights playing games with his friends. Spending these moments with his family and friends will provide great memories for those he leaves behind.

Visitation will take place at Capital Community Church, 71 Downing Street, Marysville on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 12:30 to 2 pm, with a Memorial Service immediately following at 2 pm with Pastor Jack Leaman officiating.  Pallbearers for the service will be Eugene Watson, Peter Watson, Aubrey Watson, Randy Watson, Jeffery Beveridge and Fred Gallant.  Honourary Pallbearers will be Jim Keats, Allen Downing and Ralph Arbeau  Interment will take place Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2 pm in Perth Andover, NB at Hillcrest Cemetery.
