Obituary of Alice Christina Boardman

The passing of Alice Christina Boardman of Taymouth, NB, wife of the late George E. Boardman, occurred on September 24, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on February 6, 1940 in Zionville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Violet (Gallagher) and Vincent Somerville.     

Alice will be leaving a huge hole in the lives of her family. Sons, Vincent Boardman (Diane), Kevin Boardman (Stephanie); daughters, Cindy Somerville (Edward), Janice Young (Kevin) and Amey Hickey (Craig); grandchildren, Scott, Craig (Rebecca), Jaime, Eric, Wesley, Sarah, Darcy and Connor; great grandchildren, Willow, Dylan, and Leah Somerville; brother, William “Bill” Somerville (Erma); sister-in-law, Gertrude Somerville. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Glenn Somerville and Royce Somerville. 

Alice enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, walking in the woods, watching wildlife and spending time with her family. First and foremost, Alice was a giver, spending her time knitting and baking to give to others. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of many. 

A graveside service will take place in Zionville Community Cemetery, Zionville on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zionville Cemetery Fund or a charity of one’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
