Obituary of Shawna Marie McConaghy

The passing of Shawna Marie McConaghy of Fredericton, NB, wife of David MacDonald, occurred on September 23, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on August 18, 1977 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of David McConaghy (Glendina Morgan) and Heather (Bailey) McConaghy (Don Pelley).  Shawna worked as a Personal Support Worker with Indigenous Youth. She loved animals and playing co-ed softball.

Shawna is survived by her daughter, Danielle Steeves and her father Peter Steeves; brothers, Adam McConaghy (Tammy) and Brent McConaghy; niece Elizabeth and nephews Brandon and Dawson.
 

A private service will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
