Obituary of Sheila Bernice Craig

 

Sheila Bernice Craig passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born in Woodstock, NB on March 2, 1931, the daughter of Charles Moore and Alma (Stairs) Moore.

 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Clair Craig; son, Terry Craig (Donna), brother, Harry Moore (Effie); sisters, Cora Jones (Charles) and Jennie Barker (William). She is survived by her children, Dwayne Craig of Fredericton, Barb Craig (Allain Levesque) of Fredericton, Bill Craig (Sandy McNeill) of Quispamsis; grandchildren, Karen Williams (Kirk), Adam Craig, Dana Craig, Kelcie Levesque, Austin Craig, Emily Craig, and Shelby Craig, great grand-children, Jadon, Noah and Makayla Williams, Owen, Isaiah, Alex and Tay Craig; sister-in-law, Connie Rioux; special nieces, Brenda Brown and Frances Foss; and several nieces and nephews across Canada.

 

Sheila was an avid gardener and was known for her beautiful flowers at the family cottage at Whites Cove, where she and her husband Clair spent every summer relaxing, working, and entertaining their extended family. In recent years, she spent most of her time on her sun porch on Sunset Drive, where she kept watch over the neighbourhood, where she lived for 67 years.

 

She loved animals and birds, and had several pets over her lifetime that provided companionship and joy. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Fredericton SPCA or a charity of the donor's choice.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. There will be no visitation or service at Sheila's request.
