Obituary of Jean Ellen Kerton
Jean Ellen (Humble) Kerton passed away at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the age of 92 years. Born in Cross Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence ( Dauphinee) Humble. Jean was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling in the Seniors League and playing bingo.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Ben Kerton and her son, John Kerton. She will be missed by her daughters, Marie Kerton and Joan Saunders both of Fredericton, NB, Gloria Slipp of Ontario and Judy Banks (Irvine) of Hanwell, NB; sons, Richard of Calgary, AB and Ron (Marilyn) of Fredericton, NB; daughter in law, Kathy Kerton of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Adam, Greg, Lisa, Danny, David, Amanda, Allan, Lynn, Alana, Todd, Peter, Angela and Crystal; two special great grandchildren, Jessica and Jillian Shaw; several great great grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Aalyia and Logan.
Visitation will take place in Christ Church Parish Church, 245 Westmorland Street, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2-5 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Christ Church Parish Church on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11 am with Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove, Archdeacon John Sharp and Rev. Elaine Hamilton officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Hospice Fredericton or the charity of the donor’s choice.
