The passing of Douglas “Doug” Leroy Willis of Maugerville, NB, occurred on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.  Born on February 16, 1939 in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Leroy and Viola M. (Clayton) Willis. Doug worked in housekeeping at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and enjoyed sports.

 

Doug is survived by his children, Rick Willis (Dakota) of Ottawa, Sherry Robinson (Rocky) of Fredericton, Todd Willis (Karla) of Ottawa; grandson, Eric Arbeau (Samantha Williams) of Fredericton.


Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn “Kate” Willis (nee Moore); and son, Troy Aaron Willis.


At Doug’s request there will be no public services. Interment will take place in Penniac, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
