Obituary of Shirley Marie Estey

The passing of Shirley Marie Estey of Marysville, NB, wife of the late Robert Estey, occurred on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Central New Brunswick Nursing Home.  Born on January 26, 1925 in Pinder, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Laura (Marney) Graham. Shirley was a bookkeeper for several businesses over the years. She was an active member of the Marysville Baptist Church and the Ladies' Morning Out Group. She loved to travel, especially winters in Florida with Robert and bus tours with family and friends. Shirley enjoyed gardening, quilting and baking; her donuts being a special treat for her friends.

 

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Judy Spencer (late Ronnie); grandchildren, Rondelle and Shauntelle; great-grandchildren, Mila and Joelle; siblings, Lou Cummings, Donna Kupkee (Bob), Darlene Hughson (Allan); brothers-in-law, Don Swain, Ob Abernethy; sister-in-law Rowena Estey.

 

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her infant son, Bobby Estey; siblings, Arnold Graham (Norma), Dawn Graham, Ardean Graham, Doris MacFarlane (Perley), Geraldine Doherty (Bob), Winzora Swain, Muriel Blaney (Frank), Wilza Abernethy; brothers-in-law, Abner Estey, Malcolm Cummings; sister-in-law, Norma Graham.


Interment will take place in Marysville United Baptist Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Marysville Baptist Cemetery.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
