Obituary of Robert Hawkes

Rob was born and raised in Fredericton and spent all of his adult life in Alberta working in the oil industry. He died at his home in Edmonton as a result of complications caused by diabetes. He is survived by his parents, Don and Ruth Hawkes; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Hawkes; his sister, Lynn (Chris) Banks; his brother, Michael (Krista) Hawkes; four nieces, Kelsey (Banks) Ridler (Cyril), Maggie Banks, Molly & Tala Hawkes; one nephew, Joe Banks (Melissa); 2 great-nieces, Taylor Banks and Kylee Ridler and as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ernie and Doris Reid, his paternal grandfather, Joe Hawkes, and his infant nephew, Dexter Hawkes. There will be no visitation; a Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm, on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Gibson Memorial United Church with Rev. Cora Krommenhoek officiating. York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB is entrusted with the arrangements.
