Obituary of Robert Pond

Robert F. Pond passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Monarch Hall, Riverview, NB at the age of 78 years. Formerly from Stanley, NB. Born on September 12, 1934 in Ludlow, NB, he was the son of the late Chester and Mary (Layton) Pond. Bob was a retired School Teacher, he taught with NBTA for 38 years. He was a member of the Cross Creek Baptist Church. Bob was a handyman, with many carpentry and mechanic skills. He is survived by his sisters, Shirley (Henry) Kinnie of Moncton, NB, Lillian (late Armand) Quondam of Hamilton, ON and Suzanne (Ivan) Maranda of Chipman, NB; brothers, John (Arlene) Pond of Riverview, NB and James (Josie) Pond of Hamilton, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife, Lois (Ebbett) Pond; son, Darrell and a brother, Willard Pond. Visitation will take place at Cross Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 11 am until time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating. Interment will take place in Cross Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
