Obituary of Barbara Shipley

The passing of Barbara Helen Shipley of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 11, 1947 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Lorette) Ledden. She worked as Director of Personnel Services at the University of New Brunswick. Barbara was a member of Bereans Group at the First Wesleyan Church. She loved animals, being near the ocean, travelling and especially her family. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Shipley (Elisha) of Keswick Ridge, NB; son, Jason Shipley (Wendy) of Halifax, NS; granddaughter, Hunter Sadie Shipley; sister, Bonnie Lambert of Fredericton, NB; brother, Robert Ledden (Sharon) of Calgary, AB and nephew, Tyler Ledden. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 5-8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 3 pm with Rev. Peter Moore officiating.
