The passing of Norman Edwin Brown, husband of Irma (Stewart) Brown occurred on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born September 28, 1926 in Kingsclear, NB, he was the son of the late Henry and Beatrice (Kelly) Brown. He was a school bus driver for District #18 and enjoyed woodworking, knitting and reading. Norman was a man of Faith who read the complete Bible five times and was a member of the Devon Park Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 64 years, Irma, Norman is survived by two daughters, Deanna Cochrane (Brian) of Douglas, NB and Ellen Saunderson (Doug) of Douglas, NB; three grandchildren, Todd Cochrane, Stacey Brown and Krista Munn; three great grandchildren, Kendra Cochrane, Kael Kennedy and Nathan Cochrane; four sisters, Joyce Bennett of Fredericton, NB, Arlyene Thompson (Harold) of Fredericton, NB, Delma Whitney of Kelowna, BC and Gail McLellan of Dartmouth, NS; one brother, Weyman Brown (Grace) of Fredericton, NB; two sisters-in-law, Adena Cosman and Pauline Brown; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his sister, Norma Jean Murphy; brother, Glenwood Brown; aunt, Letty Gallagher; grandson-in-law, Andre Theriault; niece, Donna Dunphy and nephews, Greg Bennett and Dale Brown. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will take place at the Devon Park Baptist Church on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Terry Woodcock officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rob Burns officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
