Porter, Noreen Anne

May 26, 1937 – February 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts our family announces the peaceful passing of Noreen Anne Porter of Fredericton, New Brunswick on February 1, 2026 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 26, 1937 in Blissfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mary Theresa (nee: Bowes) Porter and the late James Patrick Porter. 

Those left to mourn her loss are her sister, Marie Costello; her nephews, Kevin Porter, Edward Porter, Tony Porter and Dale Costello and her niece, Joan Porter; sister-in-law, Lois. She will be deeply missed by many cousins and friends.

Noreen leaves this world to join her parents, her loving companion for many years, Royden Myshrall; her brothers, Bill Porter (Marie), Bob Porter (Sarah) and Reginald Porter and her brother-in-law, John Costello.

Noreen was employed by the Hartt Shoe Factory for 43 years. She was a women of deep faith and was a long time parishioner of St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church. 

A visitation in memory of Noreen will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, February 9^th from 2-4 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church, 120 Regent St, Fredericton on Tuesday, February 10^th at 2 p.m., with reception to follow. Father Bill Brennan to officiate funeral mass. Interment will take place in the spring at Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Blissfield, New Brunswick.
