The passing of Mary Agnes Estabrooks of Harvey, NB, loving wife of Kenneth Michael Estabrooks, occurred on January 24, 2026, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Born on February 28, 1954, in Blackville, NB, Mary was the daughter of the late Blanche (Hennessy) and Benedict Underhill.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lindsay Miller (Michael) and Megan Daugharty (Geoff); her cherished grandchildren, Raeleigh Miller, Maddox Daugharty, and Liam Daugharty; her brothers, Benny Underhill (Mal) and Alan Underhill (Heather); her sisters, Marg Flinn (Duane) and Ann Boies; cousins and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Underhill, and her sister, Susan Underhill.

Mary was employed in Human Resources with the Department of Transportation, where she dedicated 40 years of service. In retirement, Mary enjoyed the tranquility of their lakefront home. Nothing made her happier than having family around.  A devoted grandmother, she cherished every moment she had with her grandchildren, filling their lives with love and support. She attended every activity from basketball games and dance recitals to Christmas concerts and graduations. 

A devout Catholic, Mary held an unwavering faith in God. She will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle humour, quick wit and her love of family. 

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Justin Parker, Dr. Jonathan Jean, the nurses and staff of 4SW for the compassion and care she received during these last few weeks. 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 2 – 4 pm and again from 6 – 8 pm. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 1500 Hanwell Road, Fredericton, NB, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 11 am, with Father Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
