Obituary of June Joycelin Hare
The passing of June Joycelin Hare of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the age of 84 at the SerenaCare Special Care home in Moncton. Born on May 21, 1941 in Holtville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Udavilla (Munn) McKeil.
She was a retired bakery owner/operator with Rainbow Pastries and was a woman of many talents. She was very active in the local bowling and bridge communities where she also served as a statistician for many years. An avid quilter and knitter, she spent many happy hours creating works of art for those she loved, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful handmade treasures that will be cherished by her family forever. She will be remembered for her contributions to her community and for the quiet kindness she extended to everyone in her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Kyla Mazerolle (Roland) of Cocagne and four sons, Kevin of Collette, Terry (Nancy) of Collette, Dean of Fredericton and Myles (Janna) of Berry Mills, her sister, Geraldine Munn (Murdick) of Holtville, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Esther Carson, Verna Lyons and Marguerite Fowler and four brothers, Sterling, Clarence, Clayton & Milton.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, New Bandon on Friday, January 30th from 12:30-2 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2pm. A private family interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Cameron Hill Cemetery or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
