Obituary of Allan Percy Finnamore

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allan Percy Finnamore, of Fredericton, NB, on December 28, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Allan was the beloved husband of Penny (Whalen) Finnamore.

 

Born on March 2, 1955, in Perth Andover, NB. Allan was the son of the late Marian Gallant and Percy Finnamore. A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Allan’s warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him.

 

Allan leaves behind his sons, Blake Finnamore (Kerry), and Rob Finnamore; granddaughters, Thea Finnamore, Piper Finnamore; grandson, Luka Finnamore. He is also survived by his siblings, Maxine Pirie, Stewart Finnamore, Leslie Finnamore (Beryl), and Bruce Finnamore (Sharon); sister-in-law, Janice; and his his fur baby, Satsuma. In addition to his parents Marian Gallant and Percy Finnamore, he was predeceased by his beloved brothers, Stephen and Sterling Finnamore; and sister, Mary Jean Spencer. 

 

Allan lived his life with a joyful spirit, and his passions reflected his love for adventure and family. Whether he was driving trucks, collecting model trains, building model cars, playing darts with friends, or spending sunny days boating, Allan’s heart was always full. But above all, it was his family who brought him the greatest joy. He was a constant source of love, support, and laughter to those closest to him, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

 

A visitation to celebrate Allan’s life will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 6-8 pm.
