Obituary of Norma Patricia Randall

It is with sad hearts and very fond memories that we share our dear aunt, Norma (Normie) Patricia Randall passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Norma was born on July 25, 1927, in Fernmount, NB and lived a long and healthy life. She taught school in Fernmount for a number of years before meeting and marrying her husband, Gordon Randall. She worked long hours along side Gordon moving their portable sawmill to various locations around Ripples, NB.

Norma was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; her parents, Minnie and Lewis Chase as well as brothers, Cerdy, Eldon (late June), Phillip (late June) and Gerry; niece, Patricia Walker, and great nephew, Craig. Norma is survived by sister-in-law, Marie Pelkey; nieces, Debbie Gill and Cheryl Chase; nephews, David, Glenn, Kevin and Kerry and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Having no children of their own, Norma and Gordon lovingly embraced their nieces and nephews. Debbie and Kevin lived next door to their grandparents and Norma and Gordon and therefore had the special privilege of making daily visits to their grandparent’s home and “Normies” place.

Norma was an extremely kind and giving person to her family and friends. She looked out for her parents in their elderly years, travelling to Gagetown, NB, three times a week for 13 years to visit her mother who resided in a nursing home there.

Norma loved to garden, pick berries, and bake for her many friends in her apartment building in Fredericton. She volunteered many hours at Bibles for Missions and was always more than willing to lend a helping hand.

Normie will never be forgotten and will live forever in our hearts.

All are welcome to join our family at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2:30 pm for some words of remembrance. Interment will take place at a later date in Byno Memorial Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB.
