Obituary of Shane Trent Anthony McGarrigle

The passing of Shane Trent Anthony McGarrigle of Fredericton, NB, occurred on December 24, 2025, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on November 25, 1966, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Carol (Cummings) and Gerald McGarrigle. 

 Shane is survived by daughters, Chelsea McGarrigle (Brandon), and Amanda McGarrigle (Matt); grandson, Noah VanDoorselaere; brother, Laurie McGarrigle; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shane worked for the Janitorial Services for the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital…. Shane spent his younger years forming a love for baseball, a passion that never ended even after he stopped playing. As he got older, Shane took up bowling and proved to be quite good at it, something he was very proud of.  Shane was a sports fan, particularly of Toronto, both the Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs alike, and spoke often of how he couldn't wait to get a bat, glove or a stick into the hands of his grandson Noah. …
