Obituary of Lisa Mae Halfyard

The passing of Lisa Mae Halfyard of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Shane Halfyard, occurred on December 16, 2025, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on October 6, 1960, in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Molly (Sabattis) and Gunther Luddeke. 

Lisa is survived by son: Shane Halfyard of Fredericton; grandchildren, Marcellus Halfyard, Kennan Dolor, Eleanor Halfyard and Cassandra Halfyard, all of Fredericton; brother’s, Gunther Luddeke Jr. (Angie) of Fredericton and Randy Luddeke (Laura) of Alberta.

Lisa was a loving wife and mother. She put her family and friends first. Lisa would greet everyone with a hug and a smile. She had a strange but wonderful sense of humor, an outgoing personality, and was genuinely kind to everyone.

The last few years of Lisa’s life were hard on her. She was always in pain, but she never let that slow her down. She was still there for her family and friends, whether it was showing up at a friend's house with a cup of coffee and a visit or taking her son to his much-needed medical appointments. She was there, smiling and ready to laugh at a good joke.

She will be missed by all who loved her.
