Obituary of Donald Watson Barry

On December 15, 2025 at the age of 70, surrounded by his adoring family, Donald Watson Barry passed away from a short yet courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife; Brenda (Sturgeon), son; Nick (Lisa); his grandkids; Barry, Marley and Claire, sister; Cynthia (Roy) and nephew Oliver of Blackville and beloved companion dog, Bella. Along with a large extended family on Brenda’s side. He was predeceased by his father, Bliss and mother, Anna (MacRae) of Blackville, NB

Donald dedicated 35 years to the City of Fredericton as a city bus driver. He enjoyed his job and made many friends along the way.

His family would like to thank all the staff and dedicated individuals of the DECH and the Hemo Dialysis Units at the Saint John, Waterville and Fredericton departments for all the excellent care and treatment Donald received.

There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 12 Noon officiated by Rev.
