It is with heavy hearts the family of Reuel George Parks, of Fredericton, NB, announces his passing on November 26, 2025, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1937, in Saint John, NB, to the late Gladys (Lobb) and Alva Parks.


Reuel is survived by his sons, Tony Parks and Steven Parks, as well as his grandsons, Greg Parks (Michelle) and Andrew Parks. He is also remembered by his sister, Jean Eisner (Donald), ex-spouse Pam Parks, and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was predeceased by his siblings, Gregory Parks, Shirley Gaudet, Lois McDonough, infant Richard Parks, Alva Stackhouse, Donald Parks, as well as sister Maureen Porter.


Reuel had a noteworthy career as a Merchandising Manager at various grocery stores, ultimately retiring from Loblaws. He played a key role in establishing the Garden Centre programs throughout the Maritime Provinces that remain a fixture to this day.


An avid sports enthusiast, Reuel enjoyed playing baseball and excelled at a high level in the Saint John area. He loved to reminisce and recount his memories on the diamond while visiting the old St. Peters field in Saint John.  After his playing days, he started coaching various high level baseball teams. He would always have a game on the TV. In his retirement, Reuel devoted considerable time to researching his family genealogy, resulting in a well researched and documented family history book.
