Obituary of Jerry Nathaniel Veno

After a courageous nine-year battle with cancer, Jerry Nathaniel Veno of Fredericton, NB, passed away on November 20, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 24, 1975, in Fredericton, he was the son of Barbara (Munn) and the late Thomas “Tom” Veno.

 

Jerry will be deeply missed by his mother, Barbara, and by his children, Brianna Veno (Christian) and Jonah Veno (Alivia), who brought him immense pride. He is lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren; his brothers, Thomas “T.J.” Veno Jr. (Genna), Jamie Veno, Christopher Veno (Jenn), Sandy Veno (MaryLyn), Matthew Veno, and Jefferson Veno (Alexa); many nieces and nephews; as well as his special friend, Tammy Bonnell, along with her children.

 

Jerry had a gift for working with his hands and took great joy in creating, fixing, and helping others. He loved collecting coins and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Lola. The time he was able to spend with family and close friends during his final week was deeply meaningful and will be forever cherished.

 

In Jerry’s own words: “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” A sentiment that now feels like a gentle farewell and a reminder of the journey beyond.
