Obituary of Peter Douglas Baird

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our brother Peter Douglas Baird. After a valiant fight for his life, he chose to soar to new heights on November 17, 2025.

Peter was the son of the late Ronald and Marjorie (Wood) Baird. He leaves behind his son Brandon, brothers Gary (Marilyn), Dennis (Catherine) and Ronald Jr. and sister Wendy Hay (Bob). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was charismatic, witty and adventuresome … some might say that he often took the road less travelled. His determination was unmatched as many of his healthcare team experienced over the past year.

The family would like to thank the Oncology staff at the DECH and the Saint John Regional for the exceptional care that he received. A special thank you to Dr. Raza, Dr. Riveira, Dr. Hadley and Dr. Cameron.

Peter, you are free now to fly off to your new adventure UNBROKEN.
