Obituary of Adra Angeline Trail

Adra Angeline Trail (January 17, 1936 – November 13, 2025)

With gratitude for a long life well lived, we announce the passing of our mum, Adra Angeline (McGuire) Trail on November 13, 2025. Born on January 17, 1936, at the family home down the hill from the Howland Ridge Road, she was the daughter of Charles and Georgie (Greenlaw) McGuire.

She leaves behind her children, whom she loved dearly: Katherine Trail Haines (Perry), Angela Trail (Bill Marr), Janet Trail, Chris Trail (Rachelle) and chosen daughter, Yu Bo (Richard and their daughter, Jennifer). Grandchildren missing her are Kallie Haines (Carla Beunders), Zachary Haines (Kelsey), Jillian Trail (Corben Parker), Gwen Trail Cormier (Tyler Shears), Ava Trail and Caleb Trail; great-grandchildren, Wren Parker and Madeline Haines; special cousin, Gary Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Glendon Trail; and her brother, Owen McGuire (Muriel).

Her cookie can was always full. The critters in her household will miss her tender care. Time ran out before her many projects were finished.

The family offers special appreciation to Greta O’Donnell, her caretaker and close friend; Dr. Peter Dickinson and his exceptional staff; and the Palliative Care Team at the DECH.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Thursday,  November 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the funeral service on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Greg Geldart. Interment will take place in the Otis Cemetery in Nackawic, New Brunswick.
