Roussel, Vivian Shirley
The passing of Vivian Shirley Roussel of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Camille Roussel, occurred on October 19, 2025 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 20, 1931 in Nashwaak Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Irene (Gilmore) and Clair Fraser.
Vivian is survived by daughters: Susan Spencer (Graeme) of Hanwell, Carla Neadow-Illsley of Fredericton; son Patrick "Rick" Thibault (Janice) of MacLaggan Bridge; step-sons: Gerald Roussel, Donald Roussel (Karen); grandchildren: Charles, Greg, Lecia, Tamara, Ben and Bailey; great-grandchildren: Reina, Lennox, Levi, Oliver, Henry, Amelia and Mia, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Jean Spilman, Pearl Armstrong, Gertrude Colpitts, Beth Renaldo and June Douglass; brothers: Ted, Fred, John, and Peter Fraser; grandson Mark Neadow and step-son, Raymond Roussel.
Vivian worked as a Homemaker and Waitress. She was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Beaverbrook Branch 80 and The Ladies Auxiliary. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with them. She enjoyed travelling with her husband while visiting most of Canada.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation with Rev Chris Walker officiating. Interment to take place at Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a Charity of Donor's Choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
