Forever Loved, Never Forgotten ....

Linda Hitchcock

1953-2025

The passing of Linda Barbara (Larose) Hitchcock of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, October 17, 2025. Born on February 3, 1953, in Montreal, QC, she was the daughter of the late Barbara (Bray) Larose and Maurice Larose.

Linda was predeceased by her husband Brian Hitchcock, with whom she shared four children, and by her beloved partner of more than twenty years, Brian Ferris. She is survived by her children Lindsay Hitchcock (Rob Debransky), Russell Hitchcock (Katie), Matthew Hitchcock (Victoria), and Adam Hitchcock; her cherished grandchildren Jack, Leah, Amy, Noah, Esmé, Alexandria, Peter, and Lydia; and her siblings Bobby Larose (Beth), Peter Larose (Catherine), and Patti Mason (Glenn), along with several nieces and nephews.

Linda was a devoted mother and homemaker for many years. As her children grew, she found fulfillment in her work at the Nashwaaksis Superstore, where she was a valued team member for more than fifteen years before her retirement. In her 60s, Linda embraced her love of travel as a joyful snowbird, spending winters with Brian and their friends at Wickham Park, Florida.

In her final weeks, Linda was cared for with great compassion and dignity by the exceptional staff at Hospice Fredericton. Her family is deeply grateful for the kindness, respect, and comfort they provided during such a difficult time.

At Linda’s request, no service will be held. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Those wishing to honour her memory may do so through donations to Hospice Fredericton at hospicefredericton.ca/donate.
