In Loving Memory of Sally Ann Doull

Sally Ann Doull, beloved wife of the late James A. Doull, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 17th.2025. Born on July 17th, 1937, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Sally was the daughter of the late Thelma Louise (Renton) and Guy Frederick Atkinson, sister to Fred Atkinson (Deanna) and sister-in-law Carolyn Doull.

She was the proud and loving mother of Peter Doull, Susan Dobbelsteyn (Danny), and Janet Johnson (John). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Cody Dobbelsteyn, Heidi Doull (Greg), Brandon Dobbelsteyn (Heidi), Jessica Cannard (Gordon), Jody Doull (Justin), Katelyn Johnson, James Doull (Sydney), and David Johnson (Carlie), and through her sixteen adored great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Sally’s life was marked by grace, adventure, and devotion. She attended Rothesay Netherwood School, and Horton Academy where she excelled as an athlete and a decorated competitive swimmer. Her early career took flight as a flight attendant, a role that reflected her poise and love of travel. After raising her children, Sally found unexpected joy behind the wheel of a big yellow bus, where she took pride in safely delivering the next generation to school, sharing her love, laughter and special occasion surprises for her school bus passengers.

Sally’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family she loved and the ocean she adored. In her retirement years on Grand Manan Island, she truly lived her best life—soaking up sunshine on the beach, setting out on boating adventures, and hosting lively music jam sessions that filled her home with laughter and song. She cherished every moment spent with family and friends, whether it was sharing stories around a bonfire or enjoying a quiet cup of tea with a view of the waves.

Road trips with family were special times - filled with spontaneous detours, shenanigans, belly laughs, and unforgettable memories. Sally had a gift for turning everyday moments into something special. Her infectious laughter could light up a room, and her strength, love, and generosity touched everyone lucky enough to know her.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and compassion and her spirit will continue to ripple through the lives she touched, like the gentle waves along the ocean shores she loved so dearly.

A Special thank you to Doctor Rideout for his above and beyond compassion, professionalism, and excellent care. Thank you to the wonderful Medical Transition Unit and fourth floor Nurses, LPNs and Personal support workers for your excellent care and compassion.

A private family interment and celebration of Life with family and friends will be take place on Grand Manan Island at a later date.
