Forever Loved, Never Forgotten ...

Eldon Malcolm Dore

1932 - 2025

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Eldon Dore of Fredericton, NB,  on September 30, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital with family by his side.  Born on May 6, 1932 in Middle Southampton, NB,  he was the son and tenth child of the late Beryl Sarah (Haines) Dore  and the late William John Dore.

Those left to mourn are his devoted wife Velma Doreen (Fenwick) Dore of 71 years; his children, Brian Dore of Calgary, Brenda Dore Kidney (Ross) of Moncton, Beverley Richard (Rob) of Fredericton and Brent Dore (Michelle) of Douglas, his younger brother Dean Dore of Fredericton, grandchildren Eldon, Jed, Garrett, Morgen, Jake (Alyssa) and Riley (Robyn) and three great granddaughters, Oaklynn, Vallie and Daphne along with many nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by many extended family and friends and the Douglas community.

Along with his parents, Eldon leaves this world to join his siblings:  Lloyd Dore, Nora Fox, Elwood Dore, Geraldine Patterson, Ellen Morehouse, Karl Dore, John Dore, Vivian Tyler, and Sarah Kennedy

Eldon was a long-term employee of Dominion Stores and Atlantic Wholesalers and spent much of his free time hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, and gardening.  In retirement he and Velma made several trips across the country with their various RVs.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to the caring nurses of 4NW who took such wonderful care of Eldon during his final weeks, and especially his final couple of days.
