Obituary of Stella Pearl Nixon

The passing of Stella Pearl Nixon of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Emerson “Nick” Nixon, occurred on September 20, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born on August 28,1927 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Lyons) & Byron Jones. Pearl worked as a hairdresser in her own shop for many years & later in Home Care for the Red Cross. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Pearl is survived by her nieces & nephews: Dona (Hill) Duquette, of Victoria BC, John “Jack“ Hill (Diane) of Riverview, NB, Jeffrey Jones & Peter Jones both of Ontario, Jane Sherwood & Susan Allen of Ontario; Cousins, Benny (Late Bonnie), Gordon (Pat), Ralph (Nicole) & John Waugh, & special friend Lucy Martin.

She was predeceased by her brothers John T.R. Hill (late Leona), Clifford Jones (Sylvia) living, Blaine Jones (late Shirley), Cousin Ronald Waugh, niece Elizabeth Spour.

The Graveside service will take place in the Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB, on Thursday, September 25,2025 at 2:00 pm. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com. Donations in memory of Pearl can be made to the charity of your choice.
