Obituary of James Earl Agnew

Agnew, James Earl  

The passing of James “Jim” Earl Agnew of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Jean Elizabeth (Wilkins) Agnew, occurred on September 14, 2025 at The Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 25, 1945 in Douglas, NB, he was the son of the late Betty (Clements) and Andrew Agnew. James worked as a warehouse worker for Cash and Carry and Atlantic Wholesalers.

James is survived by daughter, Becky McGeehan (Travis) of Fredericton; step-daughter, Ann Wall (Roland) of Hanwell; step-sons, Roger McGeehan (Jayne) of Fredericton and Mark McGeehan (Ann-Marie) of Fredericton; sisters, Susan Spinney (Brian) of Douglas and Marilyn Hawkes of Grand Prairie; ten grandchildren, seven great grand-children along with two great-great grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Jim was predeceased by his step-son, Garnet McGeehan.

Interment will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 1 pm. For those who wish, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
