Obituary of Ethel Maxine Murray

The children of Ethel Maxine (Davidson) Murray sadly announce her death, which occurred on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Born in Fredericton on October 31, 1934, to parents, Dudley and Helen (Currie) Davidson, she called Lakeville Corner home for 60 years.

She is survived by twin sons, Daniel (Joy) Bedford, NS, and Donald (Cathy) Bedford, NS; and daughter, Karen (Ron), Leduc, AB; grandchildren, Bradley (Susan), Beth (Jordan) Allen; Craig (Tashia Jednorog), Brian (Jennifer); Ashley (Donny) Cruz, Haley (Tyler) Kerr, Rick (Jennifer) Christensen; and great-grandchildren, Sullivan, Miles, Davis, Vera, Adele, Teagan, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Benjamin, Hunter, Harper, Reid, Greysen, Ethyn, Zackery, Amalija and Freyja.

Ethel was predeceased by Earl, her husband of 57 years, in 2009, and was the last surviving sibling of her family. She was predeceased by brothers, Dellas, Frazer, Wendell, Gordon, and by sister, Margaret. Ethel will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking, needlework, crafts, bowling, and, most of all, the joy she found in time spent with her family and friends.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Amanda Worden-Rogers and the Doctors, Nurses, Therapists and everyone else who participated in her care, at 4SE at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating and reception to follow. For those who wish, remembrances in Ethel’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
