Obituary of Mary Elizabeth McKinney

The passing of Mary Elizabeth (Prince) McKinney of Fredericton, NB occurred on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on July 26, 1943, Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Kent (Stacey) McKinney and cherished only grandson, Sam McKinney. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Herschel McKinney, along with her parents and brother.  

At Mary’s request, there will be no public service at this time. A private celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date. 

Mary loved to cook and found joy in preparing meals for family and friends. In her memory, the family invites you to honor her by sharing time and a meal with loved ones or performing an act of kindness. Remembrances may also be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
