Obituary of C. Henry Wilson
Forever Loved, Never Forgotten ...
Colin “Henry” Wilson
June 24th, 1943 – September 2nd, 2025
It is with heavy hearts our family announces the sudden passing of Colin Henry Wilson of Fredericton, New Brunswick on September 2nd, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 24th, 1943 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, he was the only son of the late Jessie Henrietta (Fowler) Wilson and the late Colin Carruthers Wilson.
Henry leaves behind and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Donna (Bunker McMullin) Wilson. His dear children; Tim Wilson (Debbie) Middle Sackville, NS, John Wilson (Laura) Seabright, NS and David Wilson (Shannon) Woodstock, NB and his beloved grandchildren; Meaghan Wilson, Mattias Wilson, Macayla Wilson (Zack Ross) and Kyla Wilson all from Nova Scotia. Henry will also be missed by many family, friends and his cat Misty.
Henry started work as a mechanic at Sutherland Marine before moving onto Bombardier, the company where he spent his professional career for more than 30 years in both Canada and the United States. Henry had a need for speed!! He was an avid racer from an early age and raced cars, snowmobiles and motorcycles, winning many medals and trophies along the way. As an active member of various Baptist churches, he held several roles including deacon, treasurer and board member. He was a Gideon and volunteered his time with the Salvation Army. Henry was a forever learner, with a passion for world history, aviation and ancestry. He loved watching Formula 1 races, the Washington Capitals and a good milkshake. Above all these passions, Henry’s joy in life and his legacy was his family, a beloved Husband, Father and Grampy.
Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, September 6th, 2025 from 11am - 1 pm followed by a Memorial Service at Nashwaaksis Baptist Church 104 Edgewood Dr, Fredericton, NB at 2 p.m. A Private Family burial will take place at Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. For those unable to attend the funeral, the service will be live streamed at CLICK HERE.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of 4SW, 4E and 4NE of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for their compassionate care over the last 9 months.
