Obituary of Douglas Price Kerton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas "Doug" Price Kerton, husband of Nellie Kerton (McInnis), on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his home in Fredericton, NB. Doug was born in Fredericton on October 11, 1944, to the late Robert and Mildred Kerton (McMillan).

In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, Doug is survived by his brother, Neal Kerton (Carolyn); his son, Patrick Kerton; his sister-in-law, Patricia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mildred Kerton, as well as his brothers, Robert and Agnus Kerton, and his special aunt and uncle, Beth and Alfred Pringle.

A dedicated worker, Doug spent his career as a technician that could turn his hand at anything he attempted, including building his own home. He cherished his 1967 Mustang, which was won by a family member in the Reader's Digest Grand Prize in 1966. He was also a former member of the Central New Brunswick Mustang Club.

As per his request, no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
