The passing of Douglas Chester Robbins White of Browns Flat, NB, husband of Myrna Elizabeth (Hillman) White, occurred on August 18, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, NB. Born on October 9, 1941, in Burtt's Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Reba (Robbins) and Clarence White. Doug worked as a plumber by trade. He was active in his church (First Wesleyan Church, now known as Journey Church), driving the Sunday School bus and serving as a trustee on the board. His joking and teasing always left an impression, but people who knew him know he had a big heart. 

He was very competitive and loved to win games of Skip-Bo and UNO. In recent years, Doug and Myrna lived at Beulah Camp in Browns Flat, where Doug was actively involved in helping out around the campgrounds. But above all, he loved his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Myrna; sons, Mike White (Tammy-Jane) of Burtt's Corner, and Robin White (Yoko) of Japan; grandchildren, Kylie Bassett, and Naomi Bassett; 6 great grandchildren, Summer, Paige, Aria, Cheyenne, Cadence and Sophie; sister, Linda Fox (Allen) of Zealand; brother, Robert White. He was predeceased by his brothers, Norman, and Clarence Jr.; sisters, Verna Urquhart, Greta Spencer, and Marjorie Brewer.

A visitation will take place Saturday, August 23, 2025, at York Funeral Home from 12 – 2 pm, with a Funeral Service following at 2 pm, with Jay and Sharon Guptill officiating. Interment will take place after the service at Burtts Corner Community Cemetery.
