Obituary of Wayne William Ward

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne William Ward of New Bandon, NB, announces his passing on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home, Boiestown, NB. He was the beloved husband of Linda M. (Warren) Ward for nearly 54 years. Born in Blissfield, NB, on June 1, 1948, Wayne was the son of the late William W. and Sarah J. "Sadie" (Porter) Ward.

 

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; daughter, Tammy (Evans LeBlanc); son, Darrell Ward (Jenn); and son-in-law, Robert MacKay. He was a proud grandfather to Miranda, Brooklynne, Jacob, and Curtis. He is also survived by his sisters, Rita (Norman Porter) and Carol (Glenn Gilks), as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Tanya; brothers, Edward, Glenn, and Dean; sisters, Mazie (late Perley Arbeau) and Gertie (late Glendon McAleer); and his beloved fur baby, affectionately known as "Snuffy Doodle."

 

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nadeau and the dedicated nurses and staff of the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home for the compassionate care Wayne received.

 

Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home's Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 12 – 2 pm. Interment will take place in Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery following the visitation. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home would be greatly appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
