Fletcher, Douglas "Doug" John Wesley

The passing of Douglas John Wesley Fletcher of Mazerolle Settlement, NB, husband of Laurie Dawn Curtis, occurred on July 8, 2025 at home.  Born on February 3, 1959 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Dorothy May (Shanks) Fletcher and the late John Pearson Fletcher. Doug worked previously as a Paver for Perfection Paving. He was a hard worker, loved to hunt, and loved people. You could always find him teasing and making people laugh. When he was young, he played hockey, boxing, baseball, and even karate. He enjoyed working at Killarney Lake when he was young, but he was mostly known for the love he had for his family, friends and his wife.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Laurie; siblings, Gail Barrett (George), Tim Fletcher (Vicki), Robin Fletcher (Brenda), Mike Fletcher (Natalie), David Fletcher (Tara); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many in-laws.
Besides his father, John, Doug was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Mark; sister, Lisa; and nephew, Nick.
