Gallagher, Rodney "Rod"

The passing of Rodney Gallagher of Royal Road, NB, husband of Susan (Henry) Gallagher, occurred on July 8, 2025, at Hospice Fredericton.  Born on August 23, 1971, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Janice (O'Donnell) & Lewis Gallagher. One of Rod’s greatest joys were his children. He was extremely proud of them and loved them beyond words. 

He loved spending time at the family camp on the Miramichi River in Porter Cove.  He found comfort and peace that helped him through the past several years.  His friends were also an important part of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them (the Friday afternoon feasts and weekends at the camp).

Rodney is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Justin; daughter, Jessica (Shane) Fraser; sister, Janelle Mazerolle (Ben); aunt and uncle, Joyce & Mac Saulis (and family) and Jean & Miguel Veiras (and family).  Mother and father in-law, Brenda & Emmett "Junior” Henry; sister-in-law, Barb (Tom) Brittany; niece, Samatha (Carson) Stensrud; nephew, Brett (Tania) Brittany; Nanny-in-law, Dorothy MacKinnon.

He was predeceased by his parents, Janice & Lewis Gallagher; grandparents, Vivian & Gerald O’Donnell, and Mack & Mariette Gallagher.

A Celebration of Life will take place on August 23rd from 2-5 at their home on the Royal Road.
