It is with sad hearts that the family of Lorne James Gallagher (Lornie) announce his passing at home in Fredericton on 5 July 2025. Lorne and his twin sister Lois were born on the Gallagher homestead in Williamsburg, NB on 3 October 1935 to parents Lorne B. and Edith (MacMillan) Gallagher.

Lorne was predeceased by his son, Lorne Dwayne Gallagher; infant daughter, Karen; his parents; brothers, Mack, Calvin, Glenn and Clair; sisters, Frances Gallagher, Ruth Flanagan and Marion Burnett as well as sisters and brothers in law; nieces and nephews.

Lorne was a jack of all trades and a handy man who was happy tinkering and inventing. He started working with teams of horses in the woods at a very young age and later finished his work life as a game warden for Natural Resources. He was always the life of the party and will be missed by family and friends left behind.

He is survived by wife of 67 years, Joan (McNeil) Gallagher; daughters, Janet and Emily; twin sister, Lois MacLean (Bob); grandchildren, Brad (Erin) Webb, Brent Webb, Wade Gallagher, Brooke Gallagher; great grandchildren, Tanner and Avri MacLeod, Ann Porter and Brian Webb as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

There will be no visitation. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Williamsburg Community Cemetery Fund or Just Friends Food Bank in Stanley. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
