Joanne Green posted a condolence

Al was a great neighbour. He was dedicated to mowing his lawn, chatting with his neighbours and having friends over for a visit. I loved when he knocked on the door with freshly baked cinnamon buns.
Al cared deeply for his family and was often helping out his dad before his passing.
When he moved away from the neighbourhood he would still drive by and stop the car in front of the house to have a chat.
Condolences to his Family. Joanne and Steve Green

To the Pelkey Family, so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Allan at Humpty Dumpty Foods. I would see him at the Regent Mall and we would have fun telling old stories about our days working together. He will be missed.

Allan and I shared many years of our lives together. We renovated our home on Woodbridge street in Fredericton together with much help from family and friends. He taught me so much about renovating, how to use tools to cut siding, paint and hang doors, build a kitchen, be comfortable on a ladder painting eavestroughs, and most importantly patience when renovating a home together.
We shared many meals and time with friends and family at our home. Allan loved scalloped potatoes, lasagna, and hamburgers on the barbeque. Of course a strawberry shortcake or chocolate macaroons to complete the meal, Allan had a sweet tooth. He taught many people how to play Saskatoon rummy; we played with friends and family. Allan was always competitive to win and humble to teach the young kids how to play the game.
Allan enjoyed spending time and seeing the smiles of kids faces. He became friends with my niece Lilly sharing a bag of plain Lay's chips, took my nephew Kobe on his first motorcycle ride, and my nephew Connor to play his first round of golf.
Allan loved music and to dance. We shared many nights dancing for hours and he never missed being on the dance floor for an ACDC or Lady Gaga song.
Allan and I visited Cuba together and spent many long hours on drives to London Ontario to visit my family and his grandkids.
During Covid we traveled the province to play golf, enjoying the scenery and a round at over 10 different golf courses. Allan loved to play golf.
Rest in peace Allan. Love always Pamela.

I was so very sorry to hear of Al’s passing. I met your dad/grandfather during his time with Pam. He was always happy to have company for cards, a drink on the deck, or just a visit. Always welcoming and happy to chat about any topic you wanted to discuss. My sincere condolences on the loss of your dad / grandfather. In the time I knew Al it was very clear he loved his family very much. I hope the memories of him you have give you some peace and comfort during this difficult time.
