Obituary of Audrey Jean Estey

The passing of Audrey “Jean” Estey of Fredericton, New Brunswick, occurred on June 27 at the Orchard View Long Term Care Home in Gagetown, NB. Audrey was born on October 5, 1939, to the late Irvine Betts and May (Freeman) Betts. 

Her favourite pastime was reading a good book with a cup of tea. At the age of 16, she met her late husband, Vernon Estey. They were married at the Fredericton Courthouse on May 14, 1958. During her life, Audrey and her husband opened their home to 51 foster children. 

She is survived by her 6 children; Vera (Tommy) Morehouse, Ossie (Diane) Estey, Velma (Al) Estey, Mary (Sean) Estey, Terri (Shane) Jones and Lisa (Glenn) Morehouse. She has 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

As per Jean’s request, there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service. For those who wish, donations in Audrey's name can be made to the Orchard View Long Term Care Home.
