The passing of Lois Frances Haché of Fredericton, NB, wife of Jean-Paul Haché, occurred on June 3, 2025, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 15, 1947, in Bathurst, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mae and Melvin Spence.

Lois spent most of her life in her hometown of Pointe Verte, NB. This is where she touched the lives of so many. She took pride in her role as wife and mother. She loved cooking meals, baking treats for her family, friends, and neighbours. Her talents in the kitchen were shared with all who knew her. She loved to take care of others especially children so over the years many people outside of her immediate family got to experience the joy of her cooking and warmth of her knitting. She was known as much for her skills with yarn and knitting needles as she was for her kitchen skills.

She will never be forgotten. Her recipes will carry on with her family, generations will be passing down the treasured items she knit. Hats, christening gowns, sweaters, mittens, blankets and more.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, Jean-Paul; children, Melvin (Nicole), Diane (Kevin), Jason (Angela), and Stephane (Chantal); grandchildren, Olivier, Isabelle, Harley, Damien, Abcde, Michael, Jacob, Mikayla, Alexa, Matt, and Alyssa; great grandchildren, Eli and Alexandria; siblings, Doris Alexander (Kenneth) of Bathurst, Terrence (Joyce) of South Tetagouche, and Harvey (Julie) of Big River; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends she valued very much. Besides her parents, Mae and Melvin Spence, Lois was predeceased by her sisters Marjorie and Donna

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 11 – 1 PM. The Funeral service will take place at Église Ste-Anne-des-Pays-Bas, 715 Priestman Streed, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 3 PM with Father Peter Melanson officiating.
