Mila (Ludmilla) was an epitome of Love, Kindness, Sacrifice, and Wisdom coupled with a wonderful sense of Optimism and Humour—what GOLDEN qualities in a friend!
Of the many attributes and life skills Mila was a DESIGNER knitter par excellence! When my son Michael was small, Mila knitted a heavy hocky sweater, grey with blue and red designs and Michael loved it!! At her 90th Birthday celebration, Mila gifted many of her treasures, one of which I was lucky to get: beautifully knitted and intricate design of a sweater that she so generously gifted to me, and to many of us there!
Our friendship had its beginnings when we took our beautiful flowers—our daughters, to the Church Parish Saturday School. There they formed a lasting friendship; from Youngsters to Teens, to young ladies, to fully mature Adults with responsibilities and now bearing a heavy loss! The Circle of Life!
On our journey through Life so many wonderful memories; our trip to Niagara Falls and to the Casino where we screamed with delight in playing the slot machines when quarters and toonies with a wonderful clattering sound, came down the chute, and what a let-down of what we got to what we HEARD we got (it sounded like a $100 bucks for sure) what a let down--just a few bucks--but what fun it was!! . The trip to Shaw Festival that Natasha so well organized, where we were delighted with the comical play “The Proposal” and the “Bear”, cherry- picking at Niagara, etc. Throughout our get-togethers the one memory that continually stands out is Mila always being genuine and always ready for a good laugh, but yet serious enough for a wise and intuitive observation and remark!
With heavy hearts Cathy, Michael and I, want to express our Sympathy and Condolences to Natasha, Alex, Andrea, Paul and Kevin for your very deep sorrow and your earthly loss!
“Give Rest Eternal in blessed falling asleep, O Lord, to Thy servant Ludmilla and grant to Her that her Memory be Eternal”!

Mila was a kind and generous woman. I have so many memories- all tge wonderful food she sent in to work for us. Best of all, she and Nat included us in a Christmas dinner that was fit for a king. It was so nice to feel like a part of their family. Always in our hearts. Rest well Mila.

We were truly blessed to have had Mila in our lives to care for our children, so many years ago, and to be a warm and generous friend. We will cherish happy memories of your beautiful Mama as we wear a gorgeous sweater knitted by her or hang a Christmas decoration made by her and our children 30+ years ago.
Much love and heartfelt condolences to Natasha, Alex, Andrea and Paul from Anne Marie, Peter, Sarah and Matthew.
