Obituary of Frederick Joseph Somerville
It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Frederick Joseph Somerville Sr. "Freddy" announce his sudden and unexpected passing on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on July 13, 1968 he was the son of the late, Waldo and Louise (McCoy) Somerville. Besides his parents, Freddy was predeceased by his sisters, Alberta McCoy and Carol McCoy; special nephews, Brian Webb "Picki" and John Somerville Jr.; Little Angels, Mr. Cameron Arbeau-Brewer and Raelynn McCoy.
Freddy is survived by his beautiful loving life partner, Michelle Arbeau (Shelly); his cherished children, Frederick Jr. and Tasha Henderson; one grandchild, Jax; brothers, James (Susan) Somerville, John Somerville (Ruby), Jerry (Angie) Somerville, and Waldo "Mark" Somerville; sisters, Ann (Randy) McCoy and Nancy (Paul) Breen; countless numbers of nieces and nephews that he carried a special bond with.
Our Freddy revolved around his family and friends and each and every one of them meant the world to him. Freddy shared a special bond with his son, Fred who proudly carries his name built through countless hours spend fishing and enjoying bike rides together. Freddy shared with his daughter a quirky shyness that wasn’t always visible. In both his children, our family will carry our baby brother with us forever.
Freddy cherished the time he spent with his grandbaby, Jax and little nephew, Clyde. Freddy enjoyed visits from his special little buddy Bryce, kicking a soccer ball, having an ice cream and visiting the goat. All those special moments brought him great joy.
Freddy’s sense of humor was a gift, he had a way of making people laugh, he loved to drop in unexpectedly but very welcomed for a chat, bringing light and laughter wherever he went.
Freddy loved to reminisce about the old times around the bonfire. When our mother asked us “Where’s Fred Feller?” you could bet he would be found where the bonfire was, reminiscing and listening to music with his family and friends, and he carried that with him throughout his life. Freddy loved and was loved by his family and friends and will hold a special spot in each of our hearts forever. Freddy was our one of a kind. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
Rest in Peace our Beautiful Baby Brother
